After finishing two engineering degrees and an MBA Carles joined Sony Spain as a Business Controller. He quickly progressed to Sony Europe to lead the Financial Management Reporting group where he played a pivotal role.

Carles founded Astus Consulting in May 2005 to provide highly skilled IT and project management services within the SAP Business Warehouse marketplace. During this period he took senior roles within B&Q, Ofcom, BP, Shell...

Carles always had a deep interest in property and architecture, so on July 2017 he founded Astus Property Investments to manage his real estate investments and further enhance his exposure to the market. Carles joined The Serviced Accommodation Masterclass by Paul Smith in the summer 2017. He also took part in the Advanced Commercial Development Masterclass by Mark Stokes and the Equagroup. He followed by joining the monthly Intensive Business Property Mastermind hosted also by Mark Stokes. He is also a frequent attendee at the Progressive Property Network event in Brooklands and the Epson Property meet.

On January 2018 Carles joined Essex House Development Limited as a Director and as an Investor with the purpose to buy and convert an office building in Colchester. Once completed (May 2019) the 26 flats and 2 commercial units will be sold to the public with and expected GDV over £5.5M.

 

On March 2019 Carles created Astus Living Ltd to pursue the acquisition and management of Houses of Multiple Occupancy. HMO can provide access to the rental market to young professionals at a more affordable cost that single lets. It also provides the young professionals a continuity of community after the years at college.

Carles is an Accredited Landlord by the National Landlords Association (NLA) and a registered landlord with the Residential Landlord Association (RLA).
